I got an ImagePress C1 with T1 server. Two days ago it prints red (Magenta 100%+Yellow 100%) in Brown after the service of replacement of a fixing roller. I was trying to calibrate with Fiery ColorWise Tool. But I didn't know how to configure it. Anyone would give instruction for that issue?

Now it's worse. It doesn't print at all. All job can be processed but can print. Tried to print a test page the printer's green light flashed a few times but won't print. anybody can tell why?

    Hi Alberta,

    Calibrate the Engine first:
    1. Go to Additional Function> system settings> look for the auto gradation.
Make sure you have 100 gsm plain paper preferrably MONDI business paper.
    2. Densitometer correction. Print the patches and measure and then input it to the printer.

    3. Print the shading correction.

    Caibrate it with the Colorwise.
    1. Go to COLORWise,> calibrator > shading correction tab and measure.
    2. Print the linearization chart> measure it and your done.

hi, I'm new to this forum and i just bought my C1 2 weeks ago..
everything was fine when the Canon guys were installing it in my office but a week later when it was just me operating it, I got the same problem as alberta - only i got orange printed, not brown.

My Colorwise doesn't work too... a dialog box pops out saying "Java! -3"

What's a Densitometer? is it a machine like Spyder or is it something i can do on my own?

    check test pages

print the test pages, do you auto drum potential and toner density. Get the press working properly before you even use the fiery.

The fiery can be reset to factory print settings, ie.. the RGB and CMYK simulations, withn the manage color function of the Colorwise pro tools. The calibration settings can also be reset from colorwise. Use command workstation from another location if the fiery station is giving you java errors (usually IE security settings and restrictions).
If none of this works, push it off the back dock and call canon.

Thanks gluski, the test pages seem ok. I think i'll try calibration via colorwise when i get it to work :)

    hello Freeform,

Are you familiar with color management? if not then ask the Canon engineers about it. About your colorwise, ask the engineers to reinstall the softwares otherwise you are like a blind. Colorwise allows you to set up the color, calibrate and edit profiles.

Densitometer is an instrument to measure the density or the thickness of the ink printed on the paper.

I would suggest that you ask canon people to give you a recommendation if you need a spectrophotometer or a densitometer for your C1.
