OVERLOAD: Main Motor, Main Motor For Fan OVERLOAD
can anyone help figure this out
L628+C stopped during run, with overload
after resetting (turn off then back on) inching backwards is fine, but in order to go forward you have to hold the button in for longer than usual. when we attempt to run the press it stops after a few seconds with overload.

Please provide more information - press serial number, etc. Most main motor, 28 inch, overloads will not reset with just turning power off. Usually you have to push the RST button on the VF61 alpha-numeric keyboard. What is the error code on the VF61? You mention fan overload, the fan failing is a common problem though they usually make a lot of noise first.

Thank You for the replies... the serial #121 resetting the overload is not a problem.. and the fan is working fine, I'm almost tempted to say it has something to do with this amplifier? as for an error code... I don't think my press has that.
One more thing I've noticed is with the press inching forward the amp draw goes a lot higher before dropping down?

You are probably correct. That picture is of the Field Amp, they normally fail in one direction only. They are expensive so I would have a Komori Tech put it in for warranty purposes.

I'm thinking of reversing the connections to see if in fact it's the field amp... do You think that's a good idea, or am I asking for more trouble?
thank You very much for Your time

It is OK to do for testing and washup. You will need to swap the REV/INCH wires and also the P/N wires on the bottom.
