I have installed new V and W on a Komori L40 and am having trouble getting them set properly. Can anyone help with the proper sequence in setting these rollers. No matter what I do I can't get the chrome to clean up. It keeps taking ink.
    Thanks

did you try some crome roller cleaner ? maybe its not the settings? there pretty simple and I just statrted running a Komori myself so I set the crome to the w/f first then the w/f to the plate....

Set the chrome to the water form first best method is to set it so the form roller sits in the gap of the plate cylinder then the form roller/plate setting does not bias your setting or you can lock off the form roller to plate adjustment to get the same effect, then set the form roller to the plate. The nip settings should be on a plaque on the press but it is important that the chrome is set heavier than the plate. The water setting on the W roller is set to the chrome with the stop button pushed and the dial turned to the position in the picture that shows it engaged. To set the metering roller speed up the ratio as it is easier to set, make sure its clean, then click the adjustment to flood the roller then cut it back till it starts to flash then stops flashing and add 3 more clicks to set it tighter. If you have the tool you can check the durometer of the rollers to make sure they are within specs.Use a chrome roller cleaner to desensitize the chrome roller. If you still have problems check your ph and conductivity on your water or call in your sales rep technical reps to help with the water.

I agree with KMOIMT, It is not hard to set your roller and you are probably doing it perfectly. The Komori chrome roller is a sensitive basterd, finish every single wash up with the damps engaged with a 50-50 water and vinegar wash. No more contaminated chrome roller problems.

yeah totally agree with comments about the chrome sensitivity issues you seem to be having. On our L28 we've been advised by Komori demo to clean chrome with cream cleaner, wipe off and then buff with plate gum.
