Hi, Just bought a 3302h with the off press controls. It has Alco Dampin system with coolers

Has anyone had any experience with this press?

It would be great if you could shed some light on printing four colour process work on it?

Whats steps should i take for example printing 20k SRA3 Work & Turn, Four Colour on 150gsm Gloss.

I wll be using my Duplo ctp for makig my poly plates

    Thanks in advance
    Billy

Blimey billy, 20K work n turn, 4 col, u got a few long days ahead of you, have you bought the press on the basis of doing full colouy on it day in day out, or doin spots n the odd bit of proccess?

Just out of intest Billy, What Brand of 150 Gloss you planning on using? some Brands are Bulkie than others so it may be easier to run a Sheet with a better bulk or if costs would allow a higher grammage. It may make it easier with fit and cirtainly the Curl If its going through the press 4 time. Let me know and ill try to help bud

    Good Luck

Hi Billy, ive never run a yobi however i would suggest using a Bulkier sheet, the Creator is quite Feable and the bulkier the sheet the Easier it will be.
The only worry to have is making sure the lay is pulling right consistantly otherwise you'll **** 20,000 sheets and have to start over

Watch for static on the first pass on coated text! It'll whip and buckle the sheets like crazy. Every Ryobi I've run be it 2 or 4 color machine has had the same static issue. Let the paper aclimate and run as little blower as possible on the first pass. Other than that check your register carefully before the run starts. Sometimes older machines the dial that turns the side jogger in/out can move in by itself and change position side to side. Make a mark with whiteout where the dial meets the collar. You'll see any movement. Things get loose with age and float sometimes. If the machine is dialed in nice it should run well.

I normally ran the Y-M and C-K rotation unless there were seperations that were register/fit or color critcal. If you plan to run the whole job in one shift run 2/2 then the second 2/2. If you can only get 1 side done on one shift then do all 4 colors on the same side. A good GATF scale or color bars should be fine and you can use the densometer if you need to. Never hurts if it's around. On 4/C I'd run the first 2 colors (2/0 or 2/2) then color wash and right back through on light to medium coverage. Heavy solids might need a bit more setup time.
