Is there a carbonless paper sensor on the KM 6500? I am unable to run carbonless. I have tried all trays and all paper settings. Jams after the first sheet.
    Thanks.

Are you running offset NCR or digital NCR paper.

    Try Appleton Superior NCR.

Also try printing letter R if you're running letter.

    KM 6500 Carbonless Paper

    Big D.
Thanks for the reply. Are you running a 6500? I have been using NCR brand digital carbonless. I have not used Appleton Superior before. Are you aware of any carbonless paper detection sensors?
    Thanks,

This is off-topic question, but still :)
What carbonless paper is used for? What are the main advantages/features?
    Tank you in advance.

Use minimum 80g weight carbonless paper, and FACE UP. Try to slow down the machine. We used offset carbonless without problem.
    There's no carbonless detector :)

Carbonless is NCR (None carbon required). It is used in 2, 3, 4, etc parts for forms, contracts, etc when an exact duplicate is needed with carrying around carbon sheets.

Probably a dumb question but I will ask anyway, are you running grain long or short?

I have run two brands: Appleton Superior NCR and Specialty Paper NCR. Specialty Paper was cheaper (don't know with China paper not being purchased anymore). Typically my supplier specifies grain by the order of paper size; i.e. 8.5 x11 means that the grain is short; 11 x 8.5 means that the grain is long. So I guess mine is short grain. I have run both grains with other paper. Grain helps with the folding of paper (short folds better if folding the short side while long helps if folding the long side.

I probably should have clarified my question a bit better on grain direction. If you have grain long along the 11 inch dimension, and are gripping it from that same side, the paper will want to curl, causing jams. 11 inch paper should be griped from the 8.5 side. Hope I worded this right.
