Ok I need some buying advice. Knowing zip diddly squat about booklet makers I reckon best place to start is here... Situation our local finishing house has ceased to trade leaving us with a pricing dilemma. All the other finishers are almost 50% more expensive, so I guess the time may be right to look at a bringing saddlestitching inhouse. We haven't the space for a Muller and to be honest I don't need or want to take in saddle stitching from other printers. We print A4/A5 and anything from medium length runs (2.5k, 5k, 10k and 80k seems to to be the maximum) as well as short runs (100). I need it to be simple to operate and reasonably productive 2,500cph + and to produce a good result. Question So what would you guys suggest? Duplo / Horizon?? Anything else out there that fits the spec? Am I p¡$$ing in the wind with these brands? Any comments cheerfully accepted.
No, you don´t. I worked with Horizon and was satisfied with product and service. Small machines, quick´n easy setup. optimal for a small printshop. New service center in Germany.
Depends...I just need user feedback so we can include the front runners spec wise in our business plan.
