The Options are CLC 1160, 1180, 3220 and 3200. Which one do you advice?
Which other recommendations. I will be printing color projects. Quantity between 1000 and 5000 weekly for business. Emphasis on better print quality and lower cost per print.

The CLCs will require a lot more maintenance than the 3200 / 3220 which are sold as imagerunners over here. There's not much difference between the IRC 3200 and the IRC 3220 except for the fact that the 3220 can support a faster RIP. The CLCs are more consistent print quality, if maintained religiously. The 3200/3220 will be cheaper over the long run due to much easier/less maintenance.

Thanks Archi. Which one do u recommend to suit my need? CLC or IRC. What do I watchout for to ensure I dont go home with an over used machine? What are the precautions to ensure the unit serves efficiently and effectively.

the clc3200 is by far the best. maintenance is always less with digitals. monthly is about 50000 so it will be good for you. it is also the fastest and by far the best quality. it is also the cheapest to run with toners lasting about 18000 sheets with 40% coverage. dont listen to archipelago as there is not a lot of maintenance with the clc. i have had one for 2 years.

Which CLC did you have??? I'm comparing the CLC 11xx series with the 32xx which is sold as an IRC here in america (even though it's sold as the CLC3200 in europe and elsewhere.) It's a much different design than the CLC 11xx series. I was saying above that the 3200 series requires less maintenance than the 11xx series. Do you disagree?

And I believe you are confused on how much coverage you are getting - or stating it really odd. If you're getting ~ 6x the canon-rated coverage per toner, I'd love to know how you're accomplishing that! That would be worth big time $$$$$ to me.

Am getting more coverage on the 3200 series but glossy fine prints on the 1180. Am maintenance is truly less on the 3200 series than the 1180.
