    Hi fellow DI'ers
After changing the cloth in the black and cyan unit the machine somehow locked up, at this point there where still lights in the console but no buttons work.
I thougt ahh electronic gremilins, so a restart ought to do it, turned the machine off, waited 2 minuets and turned the machine back on.
Now the situation is that the PC boots and the cooler runs, but there is no light in the different buttons and the compressor dosen't kick in?

Any ideas? Im stuck with ink in the machine....

    /Morten

Sounds like a breaker tripped. Not sure exactly, but I'd try to power down, reset any breakers inside the console, as well as the ones that feed power to the press. Double check any fuses you see as well.

I had the same problem sometime ago, the culprit was the "Famous" problematic X7 plug. Try unpluging and pluging it a couple of times, bend the wires a bit etc.., if the issue is resolved then look into getting this plug sorted out eventually, there are a few recomendations in this forum as well as Dipressforums. Good luck

In order to change cloth, u have 2 open the guards.....Guards have switches, the QMDI ones have stupid magnetic switches. Give the guards a go, (open-close them) and let the electrician check your safety circuit

    Found it

    Thanks for all your input.

I finally found the error, it was a blown fuse on the SVK3 board.
