:mad:I'm having trouble registering these bus. cards when I change over from printing envelopes to flat size of 12x18 100lb stock. I have to switch out my blankets and that's where my problem starts, the image around the middle of the sheet is not in register however the image at the lead and tail end are. It's only two colors that I'm trying to register 16 on a sheet and the colors butt next to one another I'm spending too much time on make ready I'm running a Ryobi 3302 HA. Hope someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I have the same problem I run a 3304ha I have not found the cure yet . If you over tighten the outside blanket bolts it causes this problem. If you run smaller sheet size it tends to smash out the center of the blanket, Also if you have build up on your back cylinder out on the edges this will cause your problem. I would start with the blankets. Finger Tighten center Knob snug up bolts and tighten with wrench three bolt faces. retigthen center knob. Run few jobs and snug blankets again. This seams to keep the blankets in registration.

I had a similar problem years back and found that using blankets other than the ryobi blankets would not register well enough. as soon as I switched back to the ryobi blankets the problem was gone

If your running shortgrain stock you'll get some sheet stretch. So be certain you have long grain paper.

Next be sure your prep person is trapping the images (choke-spread etc...) for fit. If your running poly digi plates that auto trap software does not add enough. Plus the poly plate itself is somewhat inconsistant fit wise. In a case like this you can't beat a metal plate. But digi poly is what most of us run and deal with. So be it.

On blankets, after yout reinstall your good blankets (good you change them for envs too!) run some sheets 100 or so. Then check and retighten both blankets. They can come loose a bit. I always leave to 2 lead edge blanket bolts tight and in place. After the center wheel is hand tight insert thin srewdriver, allen key etc... and tighten snug. Then tighten the tail end bolts 1-2 flats till snug. You don't want to overtighten them. Should be fine. While I'll agree the Ryobi blankets are the best some of the B brands are not that bad either and should fit when tightened properly. Even after a few runs double check the blankets and that they are still tight.
