hello, we are comparing DC 240/242 and WorkCentre™ 7665, it sounds that they have similar figures, but for the output quality, is there any difference? how about the flexibility, reliability? by the way, we are print shop. we assume the price is different.
    which series is better?

Have you compared output from the two side by side? I've been really happy with our docucolor 242 over the last year with it's bustled fiery rip. I never considered a workcenter 7655, but learned yesterday that there might be a really good deal on a demo machine. I suspect I'll hold out for another fiery rip as all my machines have had (basic) fiery rips in the last 5 years so I'm used to their character. But I'm curious.

(also not sure if the workcenterr 7655/7665/7675 will allow the oversize high capacity feeder option -- mechanically it looks like an identical machine but the OHCF isn't listed as an option for the workcenter counterparts so I wonder if the software will prohibit its use...? I really like the OHCF)

i don't have a chance to compare two models side by side, but, i know DC series is designed for graphic arts, which means it should have better output quality than office product, especially in image or graphic arts, workcenter 7665 is made for office environment, for images or graphic arts, the quality should be lower than DC series. but it should be fine to handle normal office color printing.
if it is wrong, correct me.

Condense is right on. The quality is very comparable but the 7665 has no rip. Processing any graphic intensive file is super super slow. Same print engine for both machines though. The 7655 is the best office machine Xerox makes.
