    hi,
We have an issue with our QMDI classic.
The cyan unit decided suddenly to image on the wrong side of the plate..on the tail edge to be more precise! I checked if the Tacho-generator moved, but still tightly screwed-on.. What could have happened? Tried twisting it but the image will only move 2 to 3cm either side, not enough considering it jumped a least 20cm across the red cover, I tried changing the "y" settings on the "DB-EDIT" FINE Tune section but again I think it only moved it by 25mm max. Tried changing the Tacho-generator (thinking may be it has gone faulty) with a spare one I had, the image moved but still not where it should be.
When changing the Tacho-generator I made sure to position the machine on 0.00 degrees then switch off. Am I missing something? Am I going the right direction? and if the Tacho-generator is the culprit, what could have happen?

    thanks

The problem you are having has to do with the VOID Delays. Only the "Home Delays" can be adjusted to fix this problem.

If you have a recent footprint disc that was made prior to the problem you are now having you could re-install it and it would put the settings back, although since you have moved the tacho generator you may still have issues.

    Hey Paul,
Thanks a lot. you were 100%.. Made a couple of adjustments to "Home Delays" and Voila!
What do you think might have happened?

I am not entirely sure. There could have been an issue with the encoder on the plate cylinder. When you moved it the problem may have gone away and all you had to do is reset the "Home Delays".
