Have you power at the motor when the sensor is activated?
Either end play in the cylinder or the servo motor is creaping.
It needs to be lubricated. Theres a greese nipple on the side of the blanket cylinder gear.
Check the Diode on the upper part of the sensor, This can have a flat spot from paper wear causing light defraction.
There is a greese nipple located on the gear close to the scale, pump lots of greese in there and work the adjustment, it will free up eventually.
I dont know these units but my guess is a faulty thermostat/thermister or the cooler motor relay is stuck.
I will look at the manual tomorrow and let you know the test for the PCB.
