  1. Feeders won't stay level, stuck shut.

Hi, This is a great forum and I appreciate the help and tips I have received in the past! The most recent problem we are having is with the feeders. They have a tendency to tilt forward (towards the print engine) as they get lower on stock. Usually I can remove the stock and open/close the...
  2. Fowarding jobs

I looked again and noted that under attributes tab one is version 2, the other 4. Not sure what this means and doesn't seem to be something we can edit.
  3. Fowarding jobs

Hi, we have two igen 4 machines. When I "forward" a job it makes a copy and sends it to the other machines storage. When I submit the copy job for print it freezes until I reselect the stock. Then I hit save and resubmit. Job runs fine. Both machines use the same stock and the active feeder...
  4. Igen color tools

The tools are part of the creo software, I assume that they must be xerox color but don't know. We have no documentation that I can find and xerox techs just shrug their shoulders! With this set of tools I was able to change the colors individualy (cmyk) and get some scans to match the originals...
  5. Igen color tools

Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial for the color managment tools on the igen4? These are the ones found when you double click submit and then can select from a menu on the left (quaility, finishing, color flow, etc). I asked our xerox folks about it and they don't know. None of them seem...
  6. Streaks in cyan

Well, after trying different toner settings the tech finally dumped and cleaned the housing, replaced developer. It works fine now. The coverage is 8.5x11 area on the back panel. Never seems to have trouble with any of the other colors. This machine is running 50,000+ cover per week, running 16...
  7. Streaks in cyan

Our Igen4 is having an issue with printing a smooth image of a 4 color build on a back panel of cover stock. We print two different colored builds on cover stock, one is yellow, the other dark blue. Each order may contain several of the blue and the rest yellow. It prints good for a while (10 to...
  8. ryobi 3302 water system?

Check to see if the meter to chrome roll setting is skewed. It is easy to set pressure right but have the adjustments screws at opposite ends, which makes the ends of the rollers run wet. Same with form roller.
  9. Differences between Muller Martini stitchers: Minuteman, Presto, Bravo

Most seem to differ only in format capibilites and options. Muller feeder pockets are removable so they can be configured for a variety of job types. Bravos can be purchased with AMRYS (auto setup) which cuts makeready time, plus they can stitch up to 13,000 an hour. Another brand to consider...
  10. leaky water fountain 3302 H system

Roller settings are critical on the Ryobimatics (AKA problamatics). Follow the setting instructions in the book and be sure to set the machine to service mode with the switches down below. Also, set the gate valves on each water pan for minimum level of water to run. Ours were usually cracked...
  11. Got any funny pressman's stories?

Had a multi tech replace a circuit board on a 1650 XE. He tested the press by starting it up and proclaimed it fixed. Packed his tools and left. The operator came in later and said it wouldn't feed. It ran fine, pumps worked, just wouldn't feed. Then we noticed it was running backward! Tech came...
