    Just an FYI after much research and testing with little to no resolution. If you're printing on Satin (silk, matte) coated paper and experiencing the toner flaking or scratching off, try changing the media coating setting to "Gloss". It's a drop down list under Media Attributes > Coating Type...

    UPDATE: Found that if I change the paper coating to "Gloss" instead of "Satin" the toner does not flake off. Even though the paper description is set to "Satin", I've been printing all jobs on Satin (or Silk) stock with "Gloss" in the media setting for the specific stock.

    Well, here's an update. The steel rollers (right underneath the fuser roller) had been picking up some toner and just caking on. The tech suggested changing out the lamp inside the steel roller and so far so good. Possibly the cause of the toner scratching off. Not sure yet but maybe it'll help...

    Yeah. Seems to be the care everywhere... I have my gal's old iPad and I'm really looking for a real-time, online database/spreadsheet or inventory app that I can use ON of OFF line. Thanks for the reply. I'll let you know if I find anything to share.

    The fuser web is working normally. I scraped the solid gunk off but it comes back. Do you think it's mechanical or is there a "resetting" the fuser web? Maybe it's out of whack??

    I've used iGen3s and now on a iGen4. The steel roll in between the fuser roll and the fuser web collects gunk (toner, debris.) and eventually ends up showing on the print. I've tried to scrape the gunk off with the maroon Brillo pads but they eventually make their way back. Can anyone tell...

    I manage a ton of different stock for the iGen and looking for an accessible (online, mobile devices) that I can manage and track in real time. A spreadsheet or simple database app would work well. Any suggestions or what do you use?
