  1. Heidelberg QW 46-4 DI Encoder issues

I run a Heidelberg QM 46-4 DI. Long story short, we are having to manually adjust our encoders in order to re-set where the press starts to burn plates. This process has been a tedious, guess and check, type of process. Does anyone have any advice on how to make this process easier and more...
  2. QM 46-4 Di Plate Cleaners getting too soaked.

I run a QM 46-4 Di. I have been noticing that my plate cleaning cloths are getting to well, which in turn is scratching my plates. I was wondering if anyone knew the service code number where I can go in and adjust the volume of liquid it pumps to each unit?
  3. QM 46-4 Di. Plate advances too far

I run a QM 46-4 DI. Today I was in the process of burning plates when my #4 unit abruptly ran out. According to my computer I had 10 plates left on the unit, so it should have been no where close to out. When I pulled out the used roll of material I was shocked to see that the press was...
  4. qm 46

what kind of Qm is it? I run a 46-4 Di and could get you the code list for you tomorrow is thats the case.
  5. Heidelberg QM 46-4 Delivery table height Sensor

Well its not really a huge deal the press operates fine, its just a big waste of time to have to walk over every so often and drop the table slightly. I just didn't know if there was a quick fix to this problem, or had any experience with how expensive it is to replace.
  6. Heidelberg QM 46-4 Delivery table height Sensor

I run a Heidelberg QM 46-4 DI. Ever since I started running this press the delivery table height sensor has been broken. The table height must be constantly monitored and manually dropped as the pile height increases. My boss claims that the sensor is way too expensive to replace, so I just have...
  7. Suspicious Scumming

Thanks guys for all the advice. Turns out the press needed new rollers all around, the crestline water train was especially needed. Been 5-6 year since the rollers have been replaced. It is thoroughly washed at the end of everv day, as well many color changes, so im thinkin thats a pretty...
  8. QM 46-4: Setting form stripes on No. 1 unit

So we had a technician come in yesterday, and he checked all four unit for us. The 1st unit is now set right, but the 3rd and 4th units seem to be out of adjustment now. We were getting a black tinting on the edges of stock on the operator side, and slight magenta on the non-operator side. Now...

thanks, ill give it a try tomorrow morning, and hopefully i can cancel that technician visit. Are you familiar with the other units being different, or can i use those exact instructions for units 2-4?
  10. QM 46-4: Setting form stripes on No. 1 unit

I am currently trying to adjust the form and distribution stripes on the No.1 unit of my QM 46-4. The owners manual shows the layout and adjustment screw colors for units 2-4, but not the first unit. The rollers were removed from the press for cleaning witch threw it off adjustment to the point...

thats not a bad idea, ill give it a try. Thanks
  12. Ryoibi 3302 Powder Unit issues

I Run a Ryobi 3302. It is outfitted with the more manual version of the powder unit. It has an exterior control handle at the powder reservoir that controls powder volume, and valve adjustments at the interior nozzle. I can't seem to find comparable settings for both to get a desirable spray. I...
  13. I am considering purchasing a used 4 color offset press. What are some good brands?

I can agree with most of what you said ProPrint, there are alot of great alternatives out there, and it would be impossible to tell this guy what the perfect press for him is. All I can attest to is that I run this press on a daily basis, and have had a minimal need for a technician, when i do...
  14. I am considering purchasing a used 4 color offset press. What are some good brands?

I run a Heidelberg Quickmaster DI 46-4. It is a 4-color, Aqua-less, Digital Offset Press. Prints just like a traditional offset press, but files are ripped to an on-board computer system, and plates are burnt directly to the plate cylinder. This is made possible by photosensitive plate material...
  15. Ryobi 3302- Large coverage problems

Ok so about a month ago, we have the press looked at by a technician, and he concluded that all the (rubber) rollers needed to be replaced. After doing that and calibrating everything, the press has run beautifully. This press went from being a nightmare, to a joy to run. Being trained on a...
