Hi, I have a problem with a Planeta control table monitor. Unfortunately the monitor no longer works and I need to know if anyone has a spare monitor or a solution to connect a normal VGA monitor to this system. The monitor in question is SHARP CZ-603D-GY. Thanks everyone in advance.

Very often, older beam monitors have a problem with the contact board located at the rear end of the glass. Soldering contacts on this board helped my thirty-year-old TV. The first option is to find an electronics engineer
The second option is to replace the connector on the cable from the remote with a three-row SVGA connector and try to connect a VGA-HDMI adapter to it.
The third option is to buy such a worker in Japan.

    Dear Friends,

Keep your old control systems in a good order on its duty as long as possible. Any newer control system is less reliable, less easy in use and in maintenance, less secure (if someone trusts on this scam trick yet), and more expensive.

Our Labs perform repair, refurbishment, replacement of such monitors with CRT or LCD monitors and video interface adaptation when required, and more for KBA, for EAE and for other control systems of different offset and web-fed printing machines.

More detailed information is placed here:
    https://www.colorprintingforum.com/...ion-printing-machinery-controls-repair.22963/

Anyone interested should contact directly by e-mail, with a formal data of his organization, with a technical information of a target industrial control/computer/monitor, formulating clearly his technical and commercial goals.

    Regards,
    Alex Sapiro

You can change the display controller card in the system into vga compatible and then connect any vga monitor.

I had the same issue with the original monitor that came with the press. It is a Japanese monitor that was only sold with planeta presses and a Japanese gaming system that was never exported. The monitor has a sync that is at about 15khz which is far below any monitor that is currently sold. 15 khz is a sync that was used on old game consoles. I tried using an adapter to jump up the 15 to a 50khz and no luck. You have 2 options to hook up a regular LCD monitor. 1. They make an adapter specifically for old production machines that will convert the signal to something current. You will have to google search it. Don't use the converter for old standup game machines as I tried that and it did not work . 2. Find a current LCD that can sync at 15khz. See the following list at http://15khz.wikidot.com. I ended up getting a LCD monitor off ebay for $40 that syncs at 15khz.
