    Hello guys.

We are having trouble on our Roland 300 with the dampening. On the black unit we get to much or to little water. The sheet prints with black/raster at the end of the sheets or in the middle. Or the black in the job becomes gray (to much water).

The roller stripes seem to be in order. We have also switch water fountain motors to see what that might do but it seem to remain the same. This is mainly on the black unit.

Any thoughts on what we can try?

    Maybe some pneumatic problem !?
Maybe doser roller didn't move completely to the water duct Roller.
    Had similar problem on R700.
Go in makeready Mode and press stop button. The doser roller should go on duct roller. Sometimes the lever on Operation Side don't move complete. Compare with working unit and see that the movement is equal.
Don't know if its same in R300

This is a good possibility. This is only on the black unit and the other seem fine. Maybe the air-pressure on the water rollers is not optimal. Sometimes it´s ok but sometimes it comes on and off.

It is good to write which series is the machine. Prior to the 330 series, there was a one-way bearing on the alluvial shaft. It causes similar problems.

This looks like a water problem. Measure the hardness of the water. It should be between 8-10 dH.(Deutsche Härte)
