Anyone ever see this before? 2009 XL-105 10 color with coater and perfector. The EOP lights shut off for several seconds with no warning or fault, then they come right back up.

Could be a sensor or a bad contact somewhere.
Is it possible to put new / replacement lights in & see what happens then.

    Hi sir:

Will be a good idea, take a Pic, and send it, in order where is located te EOP lights.

    1) However, you must test a) The voltage in according with his schematic diagrams for+24Vdc or +22Vdc,

    2) Look for Dry or colder joint solder.

    3) Loose wires , or corroded, doing bad contacts.

    4) Lights defectives.

    Hi,
On the XL105 on the operator side there are small flaps on each UV lamps that you slide to one side and that lets you look inside the cassette whether if the lamps are ON or OFF, I am suspecting the shutters close and the lamps themselves do not go off otherwise they would not come back again, the UV unit probably thinks it is out of production as you see no errors, at the moment I am not sure how the UV cabinet know that it is in production, I think may be it is worth looking at the speed green speed sensor device inside the cabinet.

Or may be there are signals exchanged between the UV cabinet and the SAM board inside the main cabinet, I will probably look up the wiring diagram in the morning tomorrow to make a little sense out of this

    Hi,

Have a look at the below, I am not sure if this is the exact problem but is worth investigating. This is from the UV cabinet diagram, the SAM represents the SAM board inside the machine main cabinet.

If you try to trace the same signals inside the machine main cabinet below is what it looks like.

I think this signal might be intermittent in your case resulting in the problem you see, pls have an electrician check this make sure he is measuring this while the UV is in production.

My apologies folks. My schedule is quite hectic. I appreciate all of your input immensely. The last thing we tried was replacing a CAN communication module. So far (3 days), the issue has not returned. Had to get a tech in for this one. Ended up just throwing parts at it.
