I have a polar 137 EMC that the cut is 1/4" off of the value that is input. If I put 10" into the program the actual cut is 10.25". Is there anyone who can help with instructions on how to recalibrate the cutter to make it correct again?. Thanks in advance

Hi. In the panel under the front of the bed is a rack of PCB,s . One should be marked TAM on is board should be some red adjustable pots numbered 1 to 8. These are designated in mm 1/10 mm,1/00mm these are used to calibrate measurement. Write down starting settings then adjust small amounts and run back and forward check measurement. This can take a while and trial and error. There is a calculation that can be used but I find trial and error easier
    Good luck

You can not adjust a difference of 1/4 inch from a TAM card.

    Hi remember:

After adjust the TAM or before , you must test:

    1) The backgauge is not square to the table

2)Table is not square to the knife carrier

    3)Backgauge not parallel to knife

    Blessing

You must put the cutter into the scan reference position mode after each tam card adjustment.

Only the front of my emc137 polar cutter changes measurement units. Why does that happen?

Most of the time, it is correct after taking it back and forward again, but when you take it back to 20cm/10cm, the values change.

Sounds to me the linear scale is faulty near the front of the machine or conecting cable has a break ,change lead. if no better and measurement is consistent further back. This indicates scanner missing pulses from linear scale. Change linear scale

The rear gauges are fine on my machine, but sometimes this problem occurs only on the front, then the rear gauges are also different.

Change the lead from scale reader to pcboard. This is cheapest option first

In some days it is fine and in some days this change occurs in the value up to 30cm to 10cm. The changing value is not certain.
