My company just bought a used Mgi dp60 pro digital press which has make 1.2m impressions and had it installed. But the press's touch screen has the message "Please close front door" even though the door is closed.
I have not used an Mgi printing machine before. I cannot figure out how to solve this issue.

Can anyone help me out with this problem. Where the door switch and the sensor is and how to solve it.

Your response will be very much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Not sure if you solved the problem. The DP60 engine is actually a KM 6500C

Yes. This was solved. It was rather the emergency stop button which was engaged. We just had another issue. The Pilote screen toner error and the main engine shows paper jam whereas there are no paper. Jam code j-3252. Any help?

We also had that issue - we had to replace the RFID toner sensors in the toner door at great cost and it still gave the error. We even replaced the RFID stickers on the toner bottles. At the end we found out that it is the switch in the door (where you put the toner cartridges in), it was a bit bent, so we bent it back and voila - all worked again. Its worth a try.

Thank you so much for this information. I have tried it but same issue. Apparently, the main short cyan toner but it did not show up on the screen. Could that also be the problem. Do you think a change in developer will work. Anytime I open and close the toner door, the jam will be cleared but will come back in a few minutes. Thanks for your help in advance.

Not sure if the change in developer will help - Perhaps worth a try? Dont throw the old developer away though - if it does not help one can always re-use it. What do the MGI guys say - Have to admit that the help we got from the MGI office in france was always a drama - first to get them to help and then the actual help offered was often vague (like: did you clean the machine? did you restart the RIP? - must have thought we were fools, ha ha ha).

Interesting. They have not responded to me yet. I will try changing the developer and will let you know know whether it worked. Thanks so much for your time and concern.

We just realized it the chip on toner bottle. We had this machine used last November. We have not done much on it. Where do you buy your toners from. We have been trying to get some toners since we bought it but not getting. Is something mgi sells or they have agents who sell them and where are they. We seem not to get any information on the internet. Need help.
