I recently acquired a 3302 i have ran these for probably 15 years. The one i have was built in the mid to late 90's. when it powers up it will feed paper but it will not kick on impression and obviously the counter doesn't kick on. One thing I noticed yesterday was the continuous counter isn't on. Any suggestions? Does anyone have a R22 punch they would like to donate to a church print shop?

Hi Bill check the spring on the selinoids there is a long pusher rod that pushes on impression selinoids if spring are wearing you might get problems you need to take off front cover turn off the power first also clean out the sensors under the cylinders good luck

Already cleaned all the sensors when I was oiling and lubing the press. I also changed the sensor on the feed table the one on there was cracked. I have 2 0f these presses. One for parts. There has to be something not allowing the the continuous counter not to work also. I am thinking they might be connected. There is a battery that controls that. I have no idea where it is. I don't have a electrical manual they want to much online for one.

Have you tried bypassing all of the sensors?

I'm printing as I'm typing this so I was able to send you a pic. Turn them all off and if it works then try turning one on at a time to see which one is bad. (if a sensor is even the problem.) Hope you find your problem.

I was finally able to solve this problem, The sensor has 4 wires to connect it I only had 2 of them connected. A friend of mine who works on digital electronics found the problem and fixed it. He knows nothing about presses so he didn't know till the next day when I came in and turned it on and run some paper through and the counter was working. BTY this is the sensor on the feed table . So i am now setting everything else up to print.
