We are experiencing "bounce" on the tail end of our sheets coming off the coating unit. It is on the operator side and at the bottom of the sheet it is creating a miss in the varnish. It is also creating build up on the varnish plate in the same area and causing the sheets to stick towards the end of the run. We have replaced the cam follower and lever on the operator side, but has not made a difference. Looking for any suggestions

not fully understanding what you're asking... You mention a varnish plate, and in another breath you talk about a coater. Please verify so that we can help.

Isn't what he is referring to, a Cyrel plate, it's a letterpress plate for coaters?

i suspect we will never know to what he is asking. I do know that in some parts of the world, coating applied through a printing unit is also referred to as "varnish".

Have you changed the felt pieces on the ends of the coating roller? Also, have you timed the coating to see if it's too thick or too thin? Are you using paper packing or that soft black 1 piece packing?
On a lighter note, has this problem caused you to gain a new addiction?
