    Hi,
I can't find it in the machine manual, but i fixed it. I adjusted the feeder timing with the front guides. Like old school.

    Thanks!

    Dear all,
Nicolas, you are right, degrees are not found in the manual.
Please let me know do you have a standard or pre set feeder?

    Hi gentleman:
Heidelberg Never get some machines without the respective tech information, for installing, adjustment, repair, etc
In short SM 102+CD102 for Preset , They have degrees for adjustment Feeder, And Delivery, and included with Cp2000.

    Dear Nicolas,
At pre-set feeder, first check the sheet arrival degree 40.3°.
If this is not the case, check as follows:
1- The automatic sheet arrival control.
2- The adjustment between suction head and the feeder.
3- The sheet slow down device must be correctly adjusted.
When you are sure the above points are correctly adjusted, you can adjust the sheet arrival.

    Hi sir:

for SM 102 Normal Feeder, Not for Preset Plus Feeder
    A) Basic adjustment from Feeder to the Press:

Check the sheet arrival: 240° in Normal Feeder
    Test: 1)
Height alignment 2) Parallel alignment 3) Diagonal alignment

    B) Basic timing of the suction head to the forwarding rollers
    Adjust the forwarding rollers,

    – Let the forwarding sucker pick up a sheet.

    – Use the handwheel to crank the feeder counterclockwise
until the forwarding suckers drop the
    sheet.

    – At this position, there must be a distance of
2 mm between forwarding roller and
    tape driving shaft

    Blessing

Thanks CHOCK for the reply, now if the distance is wide or small between the forwarding rollers and tape driving shaft how do I adjust it?

    2) if the distand is correct and sheet arrival is wrong , maybe height, diagonal, or something else how do I adjust the sheet arrival timing.
    Regards

    Dear Richard,
I guess you have a Standard Feeder, not Pre-set?

Standard feeder is very easy to time in. First, using handwheel, lower your forwarding wheels to forwarding roller until they are fully in down position. There should be a .3mm gap between pivoting lever and stop. Once this is accomplished, rotate handwheel again until wheels are just contacting roller, adjust either one until contact is equal at both. Now, with compressor on and vacuum to the forwarding suckers, put a strip of paper on each sucker foot, and again rotate handwheel, slowly, until the strips just fall off suckers. At this point, you should have 1.5mm distance gap between forwarding wheels and forwarding roller. If not, break loose the two 10mm hex bolts fastening the feeder drive shaft to the suction head. (There are pin wrench holes in drive flange, and you will want to hold the flange from moving as you break the bolts loose.) Put the slips of paper back on the suckers and adjust flange to drop slips at the proper time. (1)Be sure wheels have not moved from the 1.5mm. (2) You must have forwarding wheels that are in GOOD condition, and are not loose on their axle pins!

Once the procedure I detailed is accomplished, your next step is to check the arrival time at the front lays. I believe the degree values have been previously posted. Adjustments of the clutch are explained in operation manual. Once you get proper arrival time, keep in mind readjustments should only be necessary when making changes from lightweight to heavy stocks. Also, do examine the feeder tape drive components, spools, shafts and bearings.

Hi Guys am on the machine checked the sunction head timing is okey. 2mm distance as advised. Sorry to note that this machine has got a preset feeder while the other one has got a standard feeder we have two machines. The I have read the manual about timing the sheet arrival. My head has stuck on how to turn off automatic control system.
