I'm using a Xante Ilumina DPP 502 with a DEP fuser installed so we can run envelopes a little easier. We bought the machine from another printshop that was closing down and we don't have a service contract.
My issue is that we have only recently developed a problem with the machine.
Up until a month ago we had no problems with it outside of the usual color matching that comes with any laser printer. But now, if we run a standard #10 through it, we get lines not included in the graphic. First it was just a vertical line (parallel to the short end of the envelope) but now it's a horizontal line as well. The vertical line is a small faint double line (side by side) that fades in and out as the run proceeds. The horizontal line is a mix of all the colors and comes in always 3 quarters of an inch from the lead edge. I've managed to prevent it by switch from medium weight on the machine to ultra heavy 4, which runs slower than a snail and really flattens that envelope. Is this an issue with the imaging drums or the transfer belt. Our drums and toners are all fairly new, we bought them from valley litho. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, please post few pictures of the defects - one look can be worth a 1000 words.... As far as "fairly new drums from valley litho" the source is pretty irrelevant, what is most important that you use OEM Drums and Toner if you plan on quality, consistency (well..... more or less) and longevity. So let me ask you, were those Original Drums? or aftermarket?

Thanks, the vertical line has since disappeared. I'm attaching a pic of the horizontal line for reference.
I did a stop test and found that it's not the transfer belt as the line is coming in after the envelope is fed into the machine.
It seems to start back on the black drum and it's also coming from the yellow in the same spot. I switched out drums but it didn't make a difference. I'm also including a pic of the drums we bought. We are keeping the old ones just incase something happens. Any help is appreciated. envelope.jpg IMG_2070.JPG

Well, I'm certain I didn't fix it, but the lines are gone now.
I went into the Iqueue software and resent all my factory default data to the machine. (In advanced settings and such) I then re ran all the calibrations on the machine control panel.
And poof, all the lines were gone...... I have no idea why. Nor do I know why they only showed up on #10 envelopes and nothing else.
