Tech has left, without solving it. Cardboard wind tunnel is up. LOL. Ill leave it that way. every time I have them in here, it becomes a circus.

    everything else fixed though.

Do you feel airflow under the developers when the machine is in standby? Have you checked the actual temperature inside both sides of the main cavity? Could have flaky temp sensors in one or all 3 of sensor locations.

Hey Milo, how you doin? Went through your state again a couple months ago. I had Never experienced the "joy" of the southern half of it. I Wasn't missing much LOL

I have air flow, but its warm air. I haven't checked the sensors this time around. They all read high in the monitor.

I will check em next time i decide to give a damn. :)

update. if you can call it that.

theres a temperature limit switch inside the EU that was off, and compressor was shutting down. compressor runs now, but it pumps warm air still lol

edit: looks to be solved(said that before though)

thermostat switches on back of developer stations tripped. (didnt know those were there)

I have the fault but it isn't even saying "cooling down" … I get this code plus the water collection fault (xpe-13-5007). We had a refrigeration company in here a few months ago for the "cooling down" issue - so I am hoping it is a much simpler solution this time - like maybe a faulty pump or a relay switch (that I can't even get to). I used to be able to open the back door to get to the filters but for some reason it is locked now. Just waiting for a call from service … fun times.

Moneys on the valve at bottom of hose, leading into pump. It gets gummed up with "goo" especially during summer months, since EU is pumping out so much humidity this time of year.

pull hose out, put it in a bucket, remove valve, water will likely rush out into bucket. then, go wash valve with hot water and soap.

outside chance it is possible pump is going bad.

notice I said bucket twice? do it. trust me lol

edit: you cant open the back? theres a little latch thats easy to turn....

Got the latch open (well my boss did) and everything seems normal in there. Nothing in the hose. It's like the water is stuck before it gets there… The pump may not be running. Usually when I get the water collection fault I do what you suggested and it kicks right back on. Always something. We have replaced the valve at least twice since we have had the machine - maybe more.

I am wondering if that is the problem I have. Xerox tech is on the way, though…

I have a color Konica Minolta press that decided to fault out today, too. Think it's time for a career change (never really wanted to be a printer operator anyway). On a good day (and there are few) I actually get to be creative and design mail pieces. So the rest of the time I check people's submissions and babysit printers (fish out jams, load paper, maintenance and all the other fun things that go with it). Wouldn't be so bad if we had a normal workflow and time to keep everything properly maintained - sure you know what that is like. People ask me what I do for a living and I'm like, "I babysit printers" …

My experience is very similar. If you tell people you work on printers, they picture an office printer...and i'm just like... NO. not the same. I have 16 of them all bigger than a pickup truck.

I mean yeah its that....plus data programming, light graphics work...cutting paper. all sortsa non printing things things go into printing. lol

We also have an odd workflow. Me especially. Married to it at this point. :)
