    All,
When I do the first transfer calibration, the dots in the triangles on the front side of the machine look terrible, and after completion of the wizard, I usually have to adjust the pressure on the front side sometimes as much as 180 microns to get a good screen.
Any thoughts as to the culprit ?

So what are your normal numbers front to back? Do you then redo the FTC to see if they even out? What blanket temp do you run the FTC and FCC at? Is the PIP underlay in good shape? Hope you solved it by now late reply here.

It used to be that I would do the ftc, and went on printing. Now I have to manually adjust. Temp 140, 150, doesn't seem to matter. Pip underlay looks good.

Can the second transfer be done accurately without the jig ? And I assume the gap is checked with impression paper and blanket installed. I just tried to slide the feeler gauge in with the press on impression and cool, and it won't go. I didn't want to change things if the jig is a must-have.

Ok, just started the wizard, and it says remove blanket and imp paper. One question answered.

I think your problem comes from front PIP bearing, for more details I need see all 9 sheets with triangles. Also need to check PIP, ITM and IMP drums geometry with YAW jig.

    1. Check belts on the perfector arms. Check that the light on the sensor comes on when the arms are in home position (A arm with the suckers pointing up).
    2. Bid electrode calibration is done automatically during startup, but can also be done from the Adjustments>color adjustment>custom menu, and select Perform Velectrode Calibration box.
    3. Not sure on this one, but i would check the wiring connections to the perfector. It also may be related to the arms not reaching home position.

I changed the front bearing, and it made no difference. Also i swapped the control boards, the engage motor, and the 3 gear set, no difference. Now, for whatever reason, it works normally most of the time. Maybe a software thing, though i didnt reload or change anything. It works so on to other problems.

Depending on where the noise is coming from, check that the pip engage motors are working, front and back.
Has this machine run before, or is it a new install ?
