    Hi,

I recently had problems with the memory of the motherboard : the battery died.
Symptoms are common for this case as I could read :
    - Weird characters on description of programs
    - Editing programs is impossible ( no page change )
    - Gauge doesn't travel the whole distance in manual mode ( blocking around 495 mm )

I changed the battery ( Varta 3 / V 250 H SK SC PCBD ) but actually I encouter all of these symptoms above.
I only own the user manual but inside ther is no information about setting up the parameters, only the language setting with F5.

Does somebody have information about it please ?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the same question I asked in another thread which was no mine.

Hi everyone. We have a Wohlenberg MCS2-TC cutter since few years and it have worked fine. But last week it started to behave in a strange way, the same as other members have mention:

    · Battery is completely wasted
    · Editing programs is impossible ( no page change )
    · Gauge doesn't travel the whole distance in manual mode ( blocking around 495 mm )

We have exchange the battery but now we have other issues: we are not able to enter setup screen in order to enter basic parameters, and we really don’t know what are these basic parameters. In the user manual it doesn’t explain these procedure. Can Anyone post some help. Thanks in advance!!

    Hi sir
    Hope you are well
Please understand this situation, read carefully
machine logic (PC) controls alf functions of the machine,
The heart of the PC is the printed circuit board PCU (programme
control unlt), with the 1-bit micro processor MC 14500.
All informations, positions of switches and auxiliary contacts
of contactors are transferred via I/o-ports to the PCU.
    All input
conditions can be checked on Red LEDs at the front edge of
    the I / o - p o r t s .
All informations from the PCU to the machine are transferred
    via I / o - p o r t s and can be checked at green L E D s .

Those output informations are transferred to printed c i r c u it
boards PK l and PK 2 in the switch cabinet. There .are
anplified and switch contactors and solenoids.
The I/o-ports 1 - 4 and the PcU are together pIugged in into a
    mother board.
I/o-ports 2 and 4 can be replaced by all I/o-ports, because
there are no times needed. If a board is plugged in with a
    ti m e r , these components are n e g l e c t e d .

    I/o-ports l and 3 must not be replaced by other l / o - p o r t s .
    Even among each otner Lhey must no! be m i x e d .

In other words, you must take test the LEDs function in the I/O ports
what status is there, for to see whats going on in the machine.
In introduceing the parameters, adjustment can be done entering in the service mode display.
Since is 100% that you lost the parameters, when change the batteries, or the software is corrupted.

    Hi NimeshSilva,

We are having the same problem with our Wohlenberg MCS2-TV after the battery went completely dry. Could you tell me what steps must I follow in order to setup parameters again?

    Thanks!

Mostly correct, BUT, that advise is for a Systems 85.
From the picture sent by the person having the issues, they have a Systems 86/90, so all that PCU, I/O Port stuff is irrelevant .

    Hi

It should actually be read as "SET".
there is a microswitch under the table and it's the 500.00mm mark. Check that switch. You can see it's function by the first green LED from your side. It should come on when the backgauge passes on it.

If it's fine, then you have to check the encoder. Let me know if you don't know how to.

    Hope this helps.
