HP Color LaserJet 2840 driver missing scanner option

Dear Experts


I have installed a HP Color LaserJet 2840 on windows 7 OS that was given to me by a friend.


It is a network printer but the driver that I had installed ( downloaded from HP website ) doesn’t have a scan utility that can be used by any PC connected to my home network.

What I am doing right now I connected the printer using a USB cable and I am using “Windows Fax and Scan ” option to do scan.


Printing no problem all PCs are able to print


Any suggestion how can I overcome this issue ?
