    EDIT: Solution on next post.

4117 is a Press Fault: Restart the Press

Restarting does not solve this problem.

4118 is "External Roll 1 Undertemperature in Print"

I've tried going in under service diagnostics and then Component Control>Fuser Lamps to see if disabling them would allow it to warm up. It did for a moment but then the press fault returned.

My guess is I'm SoL as it may be bad bearings, bad lamp, etc. which I am uncomfortable fixing myself.

The wait for the tech begins. Placed my call at 4pm last night and they said I wasn't even first on the list for this morning.

    Joy.

Mounting bracket on external heat roll is broken. That should solve the problem.

Tech is going to another client to get one and will be back to replace it.

I just got the same faults that wouldn't clear. Turned out to be a bad thermistor on the top heat roller. Switched it out and press working again.

    It works!!

    Thank you for the fix!

I had the very same problem: replaced the thermistor assembly and away it went.

I believe it was part #130K74530.
