I've been getting something similar lately.

    XPE-03-4017 RIM 1 (M) Communication Loss

    with

XPE-06-4211 ROS 1 (M) MPA Not At Speed

Fault occurs after opening print engine (sometimes). And fault requires restart to clear, but always clears upon restart.

I would check the data cable going from the M rim pwb to Magenta laser. Sometimes the clips don't hold the cable connector very well because the cable is hanging.

I did as you said and it's been three days without those faults! I didn't notice anything loose, but I pushed them all in tight and it appears to have done the trick. Thanks Milo!

Following up, these faults returned with a vengeance and we had been dealing with them for months...until yesterday that is. The Magenta ROS finally fried and would not allow the machine to cycle up. So a new ROS has been installed. Finally! No more rebooting for this crap.
