new EU still causing me troubles... But at least, no longer getting the "cooling down" errors thankfully...

but the warm weather and rain the last few days, has brought humidity back into the fold...and 4 times in the last 2 weeks, iv'e got "water collection fault". which is REALLY odd.

So i go check the hose. Hose EMPTY. UNTIL, i either open the one-way valve by hand or remove it. at which point, water GUSHES from the hose. like its vapor locked... I think I mentioned this in another post, that it didn't seem right from day one. You can hear air escaping. I don't remember that from the old one.

    just bad valve?

    pressure gone wonky?

Probably just a bad valve. There's a water collection tray up above there that drains through that hose into the pump/collector assembly, so there's really no pressure involved aside from good ol' gravity.

I think the valve is just there to catch all the gunk that accumulates so it doesn't jack up the water pump, so you can try giving it a good cleaning or just hound your tech for a new one.

If that upper tray fills up too much, that's how the water collection fault is being triggered even though there's no water in the pump assembly.

NO gunk....its BRAND new. when I pull the valve open manually, there's a "Whistle" like pressure, then water starts to flow.... suppose the water going into that tray, building pressure. AND the valve is just bad, so that pressure cant escape??

considered letting it run without the valve briefly....?

EDIT: as I was typing this, the error is back. Water built up overnight....

    That is weird...
Running it for a little while without valve shouldn't hurt anything* and if everything functions fine without, then you can probably blame the valve. Might have been manufactured a bit too tight for the purpose?

welll I jinked around with it for awhile...pretty sure its just the valve. i can pull it open, and water POURS out. and if I let go, it quickly closes.

its difficult to open...too much tension. :)

Ill see if the mothership will send me a new one.

That could be a problem. If I'm thinking correctly on how it is supposed to work, it's should open up with only a few ounces of water pushing on it.

You have an air lock in the upper L bend. Probably has been installed with a slight up gradient. You can run with the valve removed. In the past I have reformed the l pipe so it slopes down

replaced brand new valve, with another brand new valve, no change in symptoms.

no water in tube, until I open valve, or remove it. then GUSH.

    Addition to this.

there is a "eureka" procedure for this. its REALLY complicated and difficult. are you ready? get your notepads ready.

"poke a tiny hole near the top of the tube"

I didn't do it though, i'm just running sans the valve. LOL but thats what xerox said to do.
