I'd give up now. Spent an hour with tech support on the phone once trying to get a translucent stock to run and the final verdict was it just wasn't going to happen. Even with a lead strip and the stock set to transparency, the feeder sensors freak out when they can't see the whole length of the stock. And even if it makes it passed them every once in a while, the registration sensors throw errors when they can't see the outboard edge of the sheet.
Give up I did. I was hoping there was a way to "trick" the system. Probably a good idea anyway. Who knows what might have happened when the sheet hit the fuser. Thanks for the reply Cargo.
only way I EVER got transparencies to run was hand gluing a backer sheet to the front edge. It was a gloss vinyl "teslin" With which I achieved poor to middling results. It was Acceptable for the client who molded it into plastic tags. But the time it took to ready it, ruined its chances.
