    Hi,

Does anyone have a problem with Silk stock and toner (Matte Dry Inks) rubbing when sheets are knocked up ect. We have changed paper which has helped but still get the odd job that get rejected due to this issue.

The Fuser has just been serviced and everything is well within spec, is this just one of the characteristics of using a Silk stock and Matte Dry Inks?

    toner is not fused completely?

can you go in and "FUDGE" the media thickness or coating, to give it a temp/pressure boost?

also how did your sheets get "knocked up"? id like to see this :)

Its defiantly fusing ok you can even run it on enhanced image permanence mode (which I believe cranks the temp up) and it still happens.

Haha I guess its only us brits that call it that!!!

It is an issue with Silk stocks. It is not actually the toner rubbing off but the coating of the paper coming off taking the toner with it

Google Silk stocks and rub off

Some stocks are better than others. It is trial and error in reducing it and taking care on handling the stock before finishing

FYI - EIP actually reduces the temperature but slows the print increasing the dwell time
