Had to replace some transport wheels on my second feeder. I got them all in the motors spin just fine during diagnostics. I assign stock, load her up, and start a job and the paper makes it just barely to the print engine before the PSIP says "Stock mismatch in feeder 2 tray xxxxx" and then stops the press, causing a jam. I may have bumped something when I was back there pulling out rollers, but if so, I have no idea what. Any ideas?

Sounds like a timing issue with the paper and the feeder rolls you installed. Check the rolls and make sure installed correctly.

Rollers are in right. The paper makes it all the way through the press now, but it still comes up with stock mismatch just for a second. Some toner goes on the paper, but only the red. It ejects the paper to the top try and says to discard it. Then it says misfeed in tray xxxxxxx. Belts are webbed correctly too, otherwise it just wouldn't work at all. Still stumped.

that is a feeder problem. It is saying it either saw edge too soon or too late. Id guess late since youve measured the paper?

is your paper glossy and heavy? curly? Long shot, is the paper in the settings NAMED correctly, but sized incorrectly? Had that happen when I took over this machine. It had a previously set paper that was wrong by an inch.

Also, is there any chance it could be rotated 90 degrees? Short edge, vs long edge feed....

I just went through a feed problem with that error yesterday. Accompanied by "late to multifeed" Do this all the time- terrible paper quality. It was Curly 8pt 1s. I solved it. by moving it to another drawer. lol I found nothing wrong. But I DO find that upper drawers have this problem less frequently.

Many times, I have to make risers to get it to lay correctly so the head and jets pick it up.
