I had an issue like this and it turned out to be bad sectors on the server (in this case it was freeflow) hard drive. Software would load fine and as soon as we would send a file, fault. The swap file area on the hard drive had bad sectors causing the fault. Have the techs swapped the idic with a different color to see if it moves with the board?

    xerox free flow
the fault has come back twice for m and now one each for c y k.
Happens on known good jobs as well as virgin work!

The faults started on the first job of the day following a image transmission fault. I have done a re-start and so far (10 small jobs, runs of 200 to 1000 sheets) have run with no trouble ..knock wood...the key operator is on vacation till monday..

Yeah there are a lot of issues with freeflow. We run a lot of volume, and freeflow after a while gets buggy and requires a reboot. We've tried every software installation known to man and always sign up to test the latest version. The best advice Xerox has given is to reboot the DFE at the start of each shift. Anytime I see image transmission fault I reboot freeflow.
