    IGEN 4.

Im trying to figure out the size at which the feed speed changes, or adds a sheet to a belt revolution.

Im running a 17" sheet. but I mentioned that cutting it to completed form size of 15.25 would add another frame...

where is the cutoff in there? the next level below 17....I KNOW I had a chart. and I KNOW the numbers for the docuprints...but not sure for Genny.

    :) thanks gents.

He means sheets per belt revolution. Yes the engine runs at a constant speed but sheet output changes with different lengths. You can maximize this by getting the correct size for the job.

If I remember I'll hunt out the specs for you

    cool thanks.

yeah swifty. belt always spins the same speed. i just forgot the threshold where it feeds sheets to it faster. I edited the post.

I KNOW at 15.5 I gain a frame on the docuprint. its logical to think the igen will too...but not much about what I know of Xerox is "logical" :)

NOTE: this is VERY hard to explain to true pressman and lettershop folks. who often ask "cant you turn it up?" lol I always answer NO.

but then I say things like this today, and they say "hey, thought you couldnt turn it up?"

According to my 150 manual, Section 4b- Image Quality, page 4-50:
    Pitch Rate
Images per belt rev - Paper Width in Process Direction - (Assumed top range for pitch rate)
    4 - 20.5" - (26.0")
    5 - 19.76" - (20.4")
    6 - 16.18" - (19.75")
    7 - 13.61" - (16.17")
    8 - 11.69" - (13.60")
    9 - 10.20" - (11.68")
    10 - 9.0" - (10.19")
    11 - 8.5" - (8.9")
    12 - 7.19" - (8.4")

    groovy. thanks!

figured on a duplex at 15.25" VS the 17", Ill get a whopping extra 5-6 sheets per minute. seems small. but i'm being told its a 28K sheet run....

    3 hr savings...

meh. i dont care that much.

Here are some handouts for both the iGen150 and iGen4 which have very different print speeds.
CargoPantsMan - FYI -Using the Periodicity of Photoreceptor Belt Artifacts (table 16. pitch rate) is fine for troubleshooting IQ, however it is misleading for calculating print speed on an iGen150.
These speeds do not take into account any purges (Please wait, adjusting print quality) that may occur.

So printing SRA3, 45 cm, it prints 3.000 sheets pr hour, always thought it was 3300

I believe so since a 45 cm (17.7165 in here) sheet size in the process direction runs at a pitch rate of 5. Do you have the Large Paper Productivity license? iGen4 only I think. That could boost # of sheets per min in certain sizes.

excellent! thanks for this, I saved them

but...I SWEAR to the xerox gods that my 17 and 17.5 paper ALWAYS print in 6 pitch. I stand there and listen to the clicks..... :)
