So my boss is way too anal about back to back registration. So I did a IOP. X's all around were dead on. Now my registration is WAY off back to back even though my IOP 8.5x14 back to back X's are perfect.

    Any Thoughts?

God damn thing was fine enough before....

    iGen4?

If you have ELC enabled you will need to run IOP twice. Once on a stock less than 12" and again on a stock greater than 12".

Each size adjustment has no effect on the other size adjustment so running it on 8.5" will not make any different to the registration on SRA3 and visa versa.

Reset values back to default and start again. That's what I do when it starts going way out - it's easier and quicker in the end

And run IOP on SRA3 if the job are over 12" length ways

How do I reset it back to default. When we got this machine I had to set a nvm in order go get the registration to work but I cant for the life of me remember what NVM that was.

Press the reset button in the IOP screen. Next to the Start button

There is a routine the we use to set the Learned offset to nominal by reseting the Learned Offsets folder in DC131 but this then involves relearning which needs a few NVM's toggling and prints run - then IOP but it is not something done by the Op's and only done by us if there are registration problems or corruption

I have a feeling that something is seriously jacked up. When entering my last value in the cell on side two of 25 it would change to 130 after I clicked outside that cell.

If s1-s2 alignment is +/- 2mm, then it is within Xerox spec. For booklets and other jobs where registration is critical, use image shifting in the job properties.

When doing IOPs, just take your time. Let your boss know it takes time and concentration. Trying to obtain perfect registration is typically more work than it's worth. The igen is pretty good, within 2mm. So if he wants better than that, it ain't gonna happen. I would do a full system cleaning before doing an IOP. Paper dust buildup can cause skewing. Static can cause skewing too.

    Bonne chance.

I agree with richman. Keep your system clean and take your time with setup. Managers are always looking are production, but without a properly maintained system there is no production.

remember the Igen3 needs to print about 15-20 sheets to adjust registration each time. Atleast thats what my tech told me.
