I skimmed through the approved stocks list that comes with the manual, and the largest I could see was an 18pt. which Xerox recommends only running simplex. At 30pt, you are running chipboard, so if you attempt it try it one-sided. I didn't see any stock labelled as 30pt. but I could be overlooking something that is indeed that same thickness.

30pt is way out of an iGens capabilities. The maximum without modifying the transports is approx 400gsm (18pt). There is a kit out to modify iGen4's and 150's only to be able to run up to 560gsm (approx 24pt) but this then limits the lowest runnable weight to 200gsm (9pt)

Ive done some heavy stuff... Igen 4 at least. Uknown paper weights. you just have to run it to the top exit, the stacker cannot handle it. And the speed is slow....loading drawers, few jams here and there... Its hard on the machine a little.

plus, you have to stand near the top exit, to keep it clear. It will run about 4-5 cycles before shutting down. In the fall, I do a weekly job with 15 pt. for about 2000 sheets. and get through it pretty well.

30?! i shudder at the thought of that duplexing that. LOL

I wouldnt place a bet on anything over 18pt. getting through an Igen. :/
