    Hi,
we have some problems when printing silk coated paper. After printing 2000 sheets, there are streaks and ghost images on the prbelt. The techs say it is rhe oil coming back again on the belt during the second side is printed. The only way is to change the belt or to change the paper. But the second is no option keeping our customer...
    Any Experiences?

LCM issue. iGen3 or iGen4? Is your cleaner blade a (CBC) center blade or DESB cleaner blade at the top with a sloping end on the inboard edge?

It is an igen4. We have two of them. One is normal Ink the other is matte. What do you mean with "LCM"? With the cleaner blade you mean the blade under the cleaner rolls cleaning the prb, right? This inboard and out board the same. It looks like a "T".

LCM is an image quality issue. Yes the blade is the one in the cleaner assembly. If your blade sits between the two cleaner brushes this can cause ghosting issues. Ask your tech to install a DESB Cleaner (he will understand). This has the cleaning blade installed above the two brushes

Yes, we have the one with the blade in the middle. So I will call the tech and ask him. Thanks for the moment.

He has got it wrong. The DESB cleaner is the iGen3 cleaner. The center blade cleaner is standard on an iGen4. He needs to fit an iGen3 cleaner into your iGen4 - basically a downgrade that works. He will also need to order the backup rolls to fit inside the PRB module

Im experiencing the exact same on 3 different iGen4's and a iGen3. We replace PR belts or use car wax to clean them

Even my 150 got the downgrade to the DESB cleaner and things have been much better.

Also, and I don't know if this option is available on 4's, but can you try lowering the fuser oil rate for the stock you're running?

It used to be an option for my 150 until they upgraded my PSIP, but in the Media Settings -> Subsystem Attributes section you might be able to set the Fuser Oil rate from 1-6. Putting in a lower number might help, but then you have a chance of going through more fuser heat rolls.

    We just can't win sometimes.

What we did now is an update in the paper path. There are now blowers in area 6 and 7. Maybe it's not just the fuser fluid but rather the moisture on the paper after fusing it the first time. It works much better now.
