Xerox iGen3 Digital Press pdf best results

Hello iGen3 members,

I have a question from Holland. Which pdf settings give the best
results on DocuSp iGen because of transparancies.

pdf 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 other??

Do you have special settings for acrobat distiller of Indesign to
create a good working pdf voor the iGen rip.

Can somebody help me?

regards
Terence

Default pdf best results

Hello Jim,

Sorry for my reply on your message.
I was a few weeks on vacation.

I use the pdf, but these settings make the pdf very big.
The result is very good. But we mostly have large page of pdf...
example: 25.000

Do you have a setting what give good results but output
a small pdf.

If you have time for me..

thanks
Terence

If you read the manual for Distiller there is information on how to do what you are asking for.
Have a great day

Default re: distiller

Hi Jim,

One question I have?

The iGen3 is a 600 dpi printer.

Must I set the resolution in the first window of Distiller at 600,
or 1200, or 2400 dots per inch, because the images I now
setting with bicubic downsampling to 300 pixels per inch.

Can I send your my distiller jobsettings for iGen3, so jou can check
I am using the right settings.

Terence
