I dare not speak the evil.

I'm not sure I can fully speak about it yet, but the evils are strong with this machine. Very vey strong.

I hear there is a bit of a break-in period on these machines, was this brand new as of 2 months ago? You and I are at about the same latitude, and I know we had a heck of a winter keeping our humidity in check. Hopefully things get easier as it warms up outside and the iGen gets acclimated. Other people have said that after the break-in, the 150 is an awesome machine, so stick with it!

We had about 5 days where the machine was flawless, I thought for sure it was set in place and ready to go, then, before we know it, I'm replacing PR belts TWICE a day.

twice a day is a little excessive. LOL.

somethings wrong.....you getting scratches? out of alignment/something dragging the belt. or maybe streaks? fuser contamination?

for contamination....I clean mine with alcohol and very soft lint-free wipes. you have to really rub the remaining alcohol residue, taking your time. then its fine. Much like daniel-san polishing mr miyagis car.

    expunge those evil spirits!

Are you replacing the PRB's due to what looks like water drops/smudges ?

If so get your engineer to fit the duplex condensation kit. This eliminates condensation building up on the duplex transport from the moisture in the paper.
If area 6 looks like it has a white coating on it - that is residue of the evaporated water, sometimes you can actually feel the moisture on the transport. What happens is the water left behind gets picked up by the duplex sheet and transferred to the PRB leaving a spot/smear. They are not always visible on the PRB

Mark, the issue with the belt has been a little more contained today. It seems that these dark streak patched are only visible on gloss paper. Our technican replaced some kind of blade and he seems to think this issue is will be gone, he's going to be sending samples of our damaged belts and samples of paper to Xeroxs in Rochester NY

Also, condensation is not an issue considering our humidity is in the single digits.

Our 150 goes though at least two tab assembleys a week! (some people call them stab blades) this problem causes deletion lines though all colours - which we initially thought it was the PR belt. The belts don't last long on our machine either, gets prematurely 'scuffed' by something in the machine, engineers cant sort it out :(

Thankfully we've only had one tab blade replacement. It was only a week old. But the damage was minor thankfully. The PR belt problems are now hit and miss, but it's still a problem.
