Running collated sets and offsetting each set. Normal offset is about an inch. Machine randomly started offsetting about 3 inches creating a pretty good down curl. Operator has no clue how or why it started doing that. Anyone?????

Have you tried to clean Steering Sensor Array (Q1107). Is stock properly loaded with curl down?. Are you getting any jams in stacker?.

    what kind of paper?

i went through this A LOT. with heavy coated and/or curly stock.

try cleaning belts, including small ones at end....

try having the job run face up or down, whichever is opposite.

We have controlled humidity and keep it around 42%. My real issue wasn't so much about the curl as we get that. It was that the machine randomly started offsetting the collated sets by about 3 inches instead of the normal 1 inch. That created a lot of "hang" if you know what I mean. That in turn created the curl. Anyway, the machine is now offsetting like normal (whatever that means for those who run one of these). I was wondering if the amount it offsets is an adjustable thing.

...LOL our Igen does the same and there seems to be no reason for the stacker to go skewed!!!!

i have seen it where all the stacker sensors are covered in dust, therefore rollers arent timed right, and flips crooked. also very common with static.

I ran it all day like that once, with the stacker door cheated... watching them flip a corner out of the path crooked.

Ive never seen it over-offset like you describe though lol. I misunderstood. that's weird.
