had my belt finally die. 1.7million. almost 90% black and white work.

    it ate 1200 sheets :(

anyways, new belt... passed belt setup.

now, Etac specular, and Mob calibration errors. Ive cleaned them both... and restarted igen.

    what next?

Is the patch generator dirty? Try cleaning it.

Don't forget to clean the PR belt rollers and guides. Toner in there creates static which sucks the belt down and doesn't allow it to move.

If you can get into the service account on the PSIP, have you tried running the Automatic Image Registration Setup?

can't remember the DC number offhand... but it's with the IOI/IOP stuff.

DC610 There's an NVM Folder you can reset as well that might help...

Oh, and my notes for 06-3060 include
"Completely take down the DFE, PSIP and the Engine, then boot up."

So if you haven't brought EVERYTHING to a full poweroff, might give it a shot. It apparently worked for me at some time in the past.

did that. that was last straw, really.

it runs for about 250 sheets, then tanks with 9-3053. But wont do 951 or 610 at all.

Phone support thought, and rather adamantly I might add, it was a cleaning problem. it is not. lol new brushes. newer cleaning charger. which I swapped.

the ONLY thing changed was the belt. I did NOTHING else. could it be a ***** belt?

There's a folder called IOIRegReset. I dont think it will help you here, but reset all the values in that folder to default and then re-run DC610 IOI Automatic and MOB Cal.

I did have a PRBelt once that caused my cyan HVPS to freak out. Tech looked at a few things and then replaced the belt with a new new belt, ran like a charm.

Which is to say, bad belts do happen to good people.

update 15,000+ b&w's and still rockin. I havent bothered trying to do 951 or 610. And had a power outage overnight. then snuck in some color this morning. Needless to say, it looked like garbage, but it was internal work. so dont care...

    "I ain' sayin' nuffin'!"

    LOL
