New AC compressor and condenser finally in... I guess it was still leaking, they just let it go lol....

turned back on, A1 feeder no full power, press fault, have to restart...

guessing relay or board not flippin on.

tech's here, thread just to log info. but I am curious, and any advice is stellar.

    the correct procedure for this:

restart, reseat main plug for feeder as well as network cable. do this 3 times.

COMPLETE shutdown, including breakers, and restart after 10 minutes. . do this twice.

do all that one more time, only this time reseating all plugs again. While engine is booting, wave your hand over the feeder module a'la Obi Wan Kenobi, and utter the words:

    "you will work now"

    its alive.

My Feeder 1 has the tendency to not show up on the PSIP during bootup, which is really annoying because it forces me to restart the press before it's even finished loading. No sure what the cause is. It has power and the lights are on, but it doesn't show up on the boot log. Have to cycle power on all of the modules once or twice before it comes back.

Are you following proper Start up procedure? The only time we had this problem was when 1st shift operators did not follow Start up procedure.

Those instructions only say to switch the print engine itself on and off. Do you just leave your feeders and stackers running 24/7?

I generally leave my Igen on.

And that day I had followed procedure dictated by the phone support. Then, the Tech's district manager was here for a site tour... and did what I mentioned lol.

he was all giddy to tell his employees he'd "fixed it" :)

well, apparently, he did NOT fix it. because, with the return of the Cooling problems, I did a complete restart this morning. and feeder a1 is AWOL.
