Magenta has been either casting on the page lately, giving the entire image a red hue, or streaking on it from leading edge to trailing edge. Checked the developer rolls in the developer assembly. They looked fine. Did notice a lot of excess red toner in that area which I cleaned out, but that doesn't seem to have solved the issue. Magenta dicor wires are relatively new. Not sure what's causing all the excess red. It's inconsistent too. Sometimes it streaks and casts, sometimes it doesn't. It varies throughout the run.

Try entering Diagnostics > PWB1 > Job exerciser, run 50-100 sheets Color Gamut RGI and then 50-100 sheets Developer Recovery RGI. This clears up a lot of issues I have if one color is acting up.

Looks like it was a clogged filter. It was so caked I just tossed it and put in a new one. Ran color gamut and developer recovery afterwards. Streaks seem to be staying gone.

Magenta casting is back :( Worse now than ever. It covers the entire sheet.

Either a failed vacuum fan motor on the ozone system or one of the cyclone vacuum fan motor is most likely the fault. In PSP diagnostics is the Pre Ozone Filter HFSI flagged as red?

No, there's no filters flagged as red in the HFSI. As long as I've been running this machine I've never had to deal with the pre-ozone filter.

    IGen 3 or iGen 4?

I used to have magenta spitting regularly with the iGen 3. Remedying this would involve sucking all the dev and toner from the magenta dev unit, removing the donor rolls, vacuuming all excess from behind these then sucking all the built up crud from inside the baffle. Run your Xero setup and TRC. If this failed to do the job I'd call in a tech to check the toner concentration values to see if they were in spec.

If it's the iGen 4 then a good clean, xero setup and TRC (even turning the machine off and on sometimes helped) or same thing get the tech in to check values.

Running the iGen 3 was a ******* nightmare. More down time than productivity. I'm running two 150's now and they're brilliant even compared to the 4.

    Good luck.
