On my old iGen 4 when I got a image transmission fault it would resolve itself, spit out some funny looking sheets and carry on printing. On my new iGen 4 I have to reboot the PSIP in order to carry on.

Is there an NVM that I need to select or is it software level issue?

I've been getting alot of Image Transmission Faults on my 150, but I never need to reboot the PSIP. An ITF is a communication error between the machine and the PSIP, I imagine there are loads of things that could cause it, even as small as a network cable issue. How long have you had the new one, and how long has it been happening, and are there things that typically cause it.

I know you could contact service and if you push your records they could search through and see the exact cause.

It has been happening since June when we got the new machine. I just think it is weird that the old machine would carry on but this one needs to be rebooted to continue printing.

My techs tells me its between the RIP and the printer, when i get the fault i only restart my freeflow, just restarting the software not the whole computer solves the problem fast. I never touch the PSIP when i get that fault..

I wonder if there is a software issue on Xerox's side, that they need to address in an update.

That is kind of what I am wondering Keigan. I better just call second level support.

hmm interesting. we get these faults too. rebooting freeflow resolves issue. i don't believe i've seen it ever resume printing on its own.
also, my experience with 2nd and 3rd level has been....blah. nothing ever seems to get resolved.

I spent 2 days on an ITF last week. Ended up with having a to do software scrape on the PSIP which did not go as straight forward as usual. Other times it is just a reset and walk away :)

An ITF covers a multitude of errors so you need to look at the codes and other issues as well. ie A faulty disk in the image RAID on the Creo. It may not show up as the problem until you start to delve into it
