    Hi Folks,
I am a new igen4 Digital Press Operator and I've been facing a paper jams problem with the paper size 364 by 658 mm with the weight of 300 to 350 gsm.
I was wondering if anyone here came across the same problem or similar.
I'd appreciate any advice or anything to help me to fix it.

    Kind regards,
    Anderson Moreira

agreed...need code, and WHERE it is jamming?

although...with that weight and size... if there is ANY curl in it, it would jam coming out of fuser...and I believe you CANNOT run to stacker either.

Check your contact arc. It should be 14.5mm for SRA3 and around 13mm for XXL. Some machines will run XXL at 14.5mm - others struggle This makes a huge difference. Also get your tech to make sure the Prefuser, Fuserroll and post fuser transport are all running at the correct speed to achieve the correct buckle at the PRB, Pre and post fuser.

    Hi Mark,
I've talked to the tech about it and he said that the contact arc was ok and the issue was on the xxl paper with 350 gm2 is too hard to bend on the paper path 8a and 8b when it flip to print the side 2 and in reason of that I am having problem with my print registration on side 2 as well. Does this ring any bells to you?
I will keep you update about it.
Once again thank you for your help anyway.

    Kind regards,
    Anderson Moreira

Hmmm. I have two XXL machines I look after. Both run XXL on 350gsm duplex with no problems. I have had a couple of duplex turn transports (area8) cause problems with paper skew but this also showed up with sra3. Keep pestering and ask to escalate if the skew is not within spec (approx 2mm with xxl)

any chance you have bent corners directly after fuser?

I suggest overriding door sensor right after fuser, and watch it run. Watch for the paper to hit the first metal guide after fusing.... you might see the paper "POP UP" as it exits into area 5a

this was my experience with 350gsm. I had to modify that metal guide. But it may not relate to your issue...

note...I JUST had to do this again for 270gsm. The same way for 350 last fall.

not because its thickness, because of it's size. Thickness doesn't help I am sure.

The paper was 7x10, and corner hit the guide right after the fuser pre 5a, because the corner falls into it. When this happens I actually have to extend the guide with a piece of heavy paper, and some tape. the guides are too far from the vacuum belt...

If this happens when you watch it run, let me know, I will send you picture of how I modify it.

    Hi peels,
I've been watching the paper running through the paper's path around the area 5a and the paper hadn't hitted the guide anyway.
I've realized that the paper always has stopped around the area 8a and 8b when the paper has to be flipped to print the verse and its causing print registration erros/delay in 2 mm relating to the face 1 too.
    Thanks for all the help.
    Regards,
    Anderson
