iGen4 with FreeFlow: Faulting on PDF with Bitmap jobs

Hello everyone,

I am constantly running into an issue where jobs from a PDF are failing or not completely printing when the PDF is primary composed of black and white flattened bitmap only pages. This is an issue as when the job is run as grayscale image, the machine changes details in the black. Printing as a bitmap clears these issues up, but then tends to fault and not complete the job. Since most of the work that I print relies on accuracy in the dot pattern, this is a real headache. I have a hard time believing that the latest and greatest can't support B/W images...

Anyways, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Legacy PS or APPE que? Any imposition applied? FreeFlow Software level?

 

What is the fault?

Also, does running the job in Normal color mode work alright? If your images are just bitmaps the click should still be Black Only even if the DFE isn't converting things to grayscale.
