There are some connections under the platen. Check to make sure they didn't come loose.

    XPE-08-3207 CCD 1 Sensor Fault

    Timigen3 ,

To elaborate on what Stiv said...

Due to the opening and closing of Area 2 it's common for the connectors to come lose. I like to run zip ties around all the conectors to help stop fault like this.

XPE-08-3207 can be an open or a short in the wiring for the CCD 1 Sensor to the Registration steering control pwb.

Reseat J1 on the CCD 1 Sensor and J2 on the RSC pwb.
CCD Sensor 1 (Q8011) is located on the outboard right side of the Registration Sensor Bar Assembly under the Sensor Bar Cover. You will see 3 sensors that look the same CCD 1 is the middle one.
The RSC pwb is under the Reg transport under a cover. There are 2 PWB's under there it is the right hand pwb.

If you can't find a short or broke wire and reseating the conectors don't fix it then replace the CCD 1 sensor then the RSC pwb.

I guess I should have been more clear on the connectors. I have had this occur a few times and will look to see if zip-ties would help. It is a real pain to get under there.

I just had an XPE-08-3202 & XPE-08-3204 that I had to have tech come in and fix. Those darn connections are really troublesome.

I'm getting hammered by these lately. I'm down again for the third time in 30 days.

Edit: Apparently I am going to get a board upgrade that should take care of this issue.
I'll post the results and what I know about it afterwards.

    Stiv,

I fought XPE-08-3202 & XPE-08-3204 for months. Hell I would have beed excited if I only havd 3 in a month.
It turns out that the removable Prom on the RSC PWB had a bent pin.
    A side note Tag 304
Just an another Ooooppps by xerox  . . . .
I don't have this Tag installed the printer with the faults, But im 2 weeks fault free right now.
Tag-304 is a +5.0 VDC Auxiliary Boost Power Supply.

    Same fault code this morning...
The voltage is dropping to 4.7 so I'm thinking I need the 304 tag.
I just replaced the rsc pwb.
    Old 160k50714-a
    New 960k46570-a
I'll post back it if fails again.
