We are looking to source a good uncoated paper suitable (proven) with the IGEN4 looking at 100gsm. We use Navigator at the moment not with the best results.

    Thanks

100# accent opaque text from international papers works very well on our igen4

Uncoated stocks don't seem to run that well on I-gen4. We use lots of uncoated and have various solutions to particular problems.
What problems do you have and maybe I can help. We use Explorer offset and Preprint (smoother surface). Although we have used many other makes.

Our standard stock which is Navigator is fine on our other machines but on the IGEN it comes out with too many ripples in it. We have to run uncoated stocks as part of our work now way round it.

By ripples do you mean creasing? Check Fuser contact arc, we use an old fuser roll for offset with RDS off as it doesn't contaminate as quickly.
Check the paper grain (We cut SRA2 down to SRA3 to get the right grain which works for us).
I also have the fuser web running at a higher speed which helps to keep the external heat rollers clean.
Get your Technical Guy to run a DC0828 which matches the speed of the fuser to the transport settings.
What part of the country are you?
Mark D. may be able to add some tips.

As Nigel asked - is it rippled or creased? If creased their may be a problem with the fuser - incorrect contact arc etc. iGens very rarely crease but usually the paper is damaged before the fuser (corner folded over etc) or is extremely poor condition stock. I have seen badly stored Colortech Gloss 120gsm crease

If ripples that is down to the stock I am afraid. I'll ask around my customers to see if any of them have had any good results running any makes of uncoated (bond) stock
